The marketing office was asked to make our 85th year the theme of the magazine. What says "celebrate" better than a cake with the institutional seal on the cover? After making arrangements to design the cake (that's not photoshop) I wrote a list of 85 ways we have stayed true to our mission and collaborated with our creative director to design a four-panel foldout of infographics.

Kumon | Be a Peach Campaign

The owners of the Kumon Learning Center were a little green when it came to social media. They hired me as a consultant to start up a Facebook page, which I did. Unfortunately, there were only about 10 likes. To add a more personal outreach, I created business cards that said "Be a peach and like us on Facebook" with the Facebook address and a QR code. I tied the card to a cellophane wrapped package of peach rings. Within two days we had over 50 likes.

Video is, by far, our most popular medium among current and prospective students. In order to promote the humanities, it is important to demonstrate outcomes. I chose to focus on Bloom, the student-run literary magazine, to showcase how English majors (or any major really) have a great opportunity to  add experience to their résumés and set them up for their next step in life. It's also a lot of fun.
